Notes

  • This project is worked flat, back and forth in rows and then seamed using a whipstitch
  • Chain a multiple of 2
  • The initial Ch 2 counts as 1 dc (I have used a ch 2 because I prefer how it looks with this pattern if you feel you need a ch 3 to start because you crochet chain stitches tightly, feel free to substitute it)
  • Color A: Leather, Color B: Suede – you can work this in one single color if you do not want the color-block look created by using 2.
  • I did not edge this scarf because I wanted to use only 2 balls of yarn. If you are making a different size, or you have extra yarn from another project, you can use a simple single crochet edging on both the top and bottom edges AFTER you whipstitch the two edges together – on the RS of the project and using the same color of yarn as the edge. OR the edging I intended to use and one which I may still add after I finish the matching hat design is: Join with *1 sc, ch 2, sk 1 st, 1 sc in in the next st**. Rep from * to ** around. Finish off with an invisible join and weave in ends.
