  1. I apologize for the delay. Meerderen or Meerder means to increase (inc). Minderen or Minder means to decrease (dec). Hope this helps! Rhondda

  2. i’m doing pretty good with translating dutch to english using on-line translators and charts, but i have yet to figure out what the abbreviations “mind” and “meerd” mean in instructions like this:

    in het 1e gaatje van meerd. van 3-VSTK-op-dubbele-steel van T10: meerd. van 2-DSTK-1,
    4x:{1 VSTK}, 2 L, meerd. van 2-DSTK-1, 5 L,

    Het 1e pootje van de 2e mind. van 2-STK-op-steel komt in dezelfde 2-lossen

    thank you so much for this amazing service you are providing.

  3. l= chain
    om te keren=to turn
    hk = work
    Chain 7 and work back across the 7 chains to make 1 vaste (v) [single crochet], 1 half stokje (h.skt) [half double crochet], 1 stokje (stk) [double crochet], 1 dubbel stokje (1 dubb.skt) [treble crochet], 1 single crochet, and work along the other side of the chain (so the base of the foundation chain of 7 chain stitches) 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 tr, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc. Then work to the middle of the leaf to making 8 sl st in total along the chains and ending with a sl st in the in each of 8 chains ending with sl st in the arch/middle/center of the stitch

  4. Could you help me figure out what hk means. Here’s the dutch and the english translation i got.

    1 blaadje: 7 l., 1 l. om te keren, hk. terug over de 7 l. en maak: 1 v., 1 h.skt., 1 stk., 1 dubb.skt., 1 stk., 1 h. stk., 1 v.; 2 l. en maak aan de andere kant van de ketting; 1 v., 1 h.stk., 1 stk., 1 dubb.skt., 1 stk., 1 h.stk., 1 v; daarna terug hk. naar het midden van het blaadje en maak 1 h.v. in ied. van de 8 l. en eindig met 1 h.v. in de boog van 2 st

    1 leaf: 7 ch., 1 ch. to turn, hk. back over the 7 ch. and make: 1 sc., 1 sc., 1 dc, 1 double sc., 1 dc, 1 sc., 1 sc., 1 sc.; ch 2 and make on the other side of the chain; 1 sc., 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 double sc., 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc; Then back HK. to the middle of the leaf and make 1 sl st in ed. of the 8 ch. and end with 1 sl st in the arc of 2 dc
