- Yarn: 1 ball of each Red Heart {mix·ol·o·gy} Prints (Colorway: Sizzling Prints)
- Hook: 12.00 mm
- Scissors, Yarn Needle, Stitch Marker (optional)

Finished Size
4 inches wide and 60 inches long
Gauge
approximately 1.5 sts per inch; 1.25 inches per row wide
Abbreviations
US Terminology used
beg – beginning
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
R – row/round
rem – remaining
rep – repeat
sk – skip
sl st – slip stitch
st/sts – stitch/stitches
* – Repeat the instructions between the asterisks the number of times indicated. This repeat will contain of multiple instructions.
() – Repeat the instructions between the parentheses the number of times indicated.

How to Add a Simple Fringe to Your Crochet Project

Pattern Instructions
R1: Ch 103, beg in 4th ch from hook (the skipped 3 chains count as 1 dc) and work 1 dc. *Ch 1, sk 1 ch, 1 dc in the next ch**. Rep from * to ** across to the last ch. Work 1 dc in the last ch. Turn. [52 dc, 49 ch1sp]
R2: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 1 dc in the next dc. *Ch 1, sk the ch1sp beneath, 1 dc in the next dc**. Rep from * to ** across to the last dc. Work 1 dc in the last dc. Turn. [52 dc, 49 ch1sp]
R3: Rep R2.
Finish off and weave in any ends.
Add a fringe by cutting 8-inch pieces of yarn and attaching them to the ends of the scarf.
