Sized to fit: Newborn
(head circumference 13-14″)
Height: 5″
Yarn: Red Heart Yarns: Anne Geddes Baby Yarn (Robin)

Please note, Anne Geddes Baby Yarn has been discontinued. Please substitute Red Heart Baby Hugs Light Yarn.

Hook: 4.50 mm

Gauge: 12 sts (worked in pattern) = 3″; 12 rounds = 3″

Abbreviations: R : round, ch : chain, st : stitch, sts : stitches, sl st : slip stitch,
hdc : half double crochet, fphdc : front post half double crochet, bphdc : back post half
double crochet

Notes: The hat is worked in continuous rounds (spirals). You do not need to slip stitch to join the rounds.

Hi Sally, When I work in continuous rounds, I place a stitch marker (you can use a different color of yarn, or a safety pin, a hooped earring, paperclip or a regular stitch marker) in the very first stitch I work for each round. When I get back to that stitch I know my round is finished and I remove it and work the first stitch of the next round. Then I replace my marker into that very first stitch. Hope this helps! Rhondda
