Please note, I have done the maths to resize these hats.
I have not yet had the chance to test all the sizes.
As they are tested, I will make a note beside the size to show it has been tested. The note will read: (tested).
If you try the pattern before I have tested it and would like to lend a hand, please email me with the size you crocheted (the yarn and hook used), the finished height and circumference of the hat 🙂 Thank you!

Just what I was looking for!
Hi Joyce,
The Dame’s Rocket Flower is this one: https://oombawkadesigncrochet.com/dames-rocket-flower-free-pattern/
and the Forget-Me-Not is this one: https://oombawkadesigncrochet.com/forget-me-not-free-pattern/
Hope this helps!
Rhondda
Where can I find the pattern for the flower?
Hi Tiffany 🙂 Unless otherwise indicated I always work in continuous rounds/spirals 🙂 I dislike the ‘seam’ I get when I slip stitch to join so I try to avoid using that method at all costs! Hope this helps 🙂 Rhondda
Do you work in continual rounds or do you slip stitch at the end of each row? I wasn’t sure. Thanks!
Oh gosh…I didn’t see the note. Sorry for the trouble. Thanks so much for answering anyway!
Hi Sue 🙂
There is a little note to my pattern – but after adding the translation link it moved higher in the post and is less noticeable. I will highlight in the post so it is easier to find 🙂
Here is the note:
To make this hat using Worsted Weight Yarn – Red Heart With Love, please use a 5.50 mm crochet hook and follow the same pattern instructions. I have tested this and it works out to the correct measurements.
Hope this helps 🙂
Rhondda
This hat it beautiful. I appreciate that you have done the footwork to make the pattern work for multiple sizes. The pattern says it’s for cotton yarn. Will this pattern work the same with worsted 4 ply yarn? Do I need to do any adapting or choose a different size to compensate if I use yarn with some stretch? Sorry for such a simple question but I don’t have much experience yet. Thanks for making your lovely patterns available for free!
Hi Janice, A magic ring is also called an adjustable loop. It is an alternate way to start working in rounds/spirals – instead of chaining a number of stitches and then joining to form a loop. Here is a link to Tamara’s tutorial on how to make the magic ring – https://www.mooglyblog.com/the-magic-circle/
Thank you for asking 🙂
Rhondda
what is a magic ring?
Welcome 🙂 If it isn’t clear though please email me – I’d like to know and try to explain it, Thanks! Rhondda
Thanks
Hi Carolyn, it is the space above the stitch you skipped in the round prior. So the ‘space’ without the stitch. Does this help? Thanks! Rhondda
Of the crochet hat thanks
Can you tell me what space means like in row 11 please
