YARN Midnight Garden includes 15 exquisite projects. Be inspired to create with Scheepjes YARN! Read on to learn how you can get your own copy of this collectible bookazine!

Earlier this year my friend Dedri, from Look At What I Made, introduced me to a beautiful new biannual bookazine from Scheepjes by the name of YARN. This bookazine is available in English and Dutch.

YARN, The Sea Issue became available in Spring 2016 and from the moment I read Dedri’s post describing the gorgeous quality paper pages which are ‘section sewn’, the sophisticated designs all based on one common theme (Edition 1: The Sea) and how the publication is presented in an ad-free format like a book; rather than a traditional magazine, I have been hoping to get a copy for myself.

When I contacted Scheepjes to ask if they would allow me to review the newest edition of YARN and they agreed and sent me a copy, I was over the moon to see a copy of The Sea Issue included too!

The Sea Issue includes 15 stylishly beautiful designs, some knit, some crochet and even one macrame plant hanger.

Beyond the beautiful designs, what I truly love the most about The Sea Issue is the presentation. The entire package is lovely, from the smoothness of the paper to the visually beautiful photographs; each page captures and holds my attention. I enjoyed reading about the history of Scheepjeswol, I enjoyed learning about the Visible Mending Programme and the Inspiring Artists and my heart was warmed by the Last Dance on the Beach tribute to Wink which was also included. You can see a brief flip through The Sea Issue in this YouTube Video or read (and see) more about the projects in Dedri’s Post.

The newest Edition of YARN is equally beautiful. The stunning photography is really Art because every project is framed by a beautiful setting. Between the covers of YARN, on the smooth paper pages are inspiring quotes in flowing scripts that make you consider happy thoughts; images of flowers so bright and colorful you swear you can smell their fresh scent; bits and bobbles decorate the pages and the buttons on page 2 – I need those buttons! YARN is a visual experience of color and design and the patterns included in Midnight Garden, the second edition are showcased exquisitely. Yes, I truly ♥ YARN.

Here’s a quick flip through the YARN Midnight Garden Edition:

Living in Ontario, Canada, I thought it would be difficult to find a copy to purchase, but if you shop online like I do – you do have a number of options available including Deramores, the Wool Warehouse and Amazon. The price point is very reasonable too – especially for the quality of everything you receive in each issue.

With YARN being a biannual bookazine, Scheepjes has come up with an idea to fill our time between release dates too! A new issue of YARN – The After Party Booklet is available every 2 weeks.

YARN The After Party Booklets

The After Party Booklets are available from Scheepjes stockists in print form (in Dutch, or UK English), or you can even purchase the patterns separately as a Ravelry Download. These designs are equally stunning and are available at a fantastic price point! On Ravelry, the individual designs are available for only €1.00 EUR. At this time there are currently 4 exquisite designs available – 3 crochet and 1 knit – for shawls and cardigans. You can view them all here:
