Create a Cozy Winter Table with Crochet Mat and Coaster Patterns

These pretty crochet projects are very easy to make. You can crochet them in a solid color, or in alternating colors like I did.

The Yarn I Used

The yarn I used to make these projects was given to me by Yarnspirations. I only used 4 of the mini skeins (20 g each) from the Caron® Little Crafties™ multi-pack to make all 5 projects.

I love these mini skeins because you get such a wide range of colors all in the same type of yarn. The yarn is Medium Weight [4] and great for small projects, pompoms and yarn crafts. The colors go well together too, so you can make larger projects by using multiple mini skeins.

You can take a look at the full multi pack and all 20 colors included here.

This pattern was originally designed as part of the CAL Central Cozy at Home Crochet Along.

Notes:

  • Pattern is written with a ch 4, sl st to form a ring to begin. I prefer to use a double magic ring to begin, as it is more secure. Either is acceptable for this pattern.
  • Pattern is written with a sl st join at the end of each round. I prefer to use an invisible join instead because it is tidier. Either is acceptable for this pattern up to the last round.
  • Pattern does not have a turning chain for each round because I usually start each new round with a standing st. If you prefer a sl st join and a turning chain, feel free to substitute.
  • Begin the round in any stitch of the previous round.
  • If you are working this in wider stripes of color, or in a solid color you may wish to slip stitch to join at the end of each round and ch 3 to begin each round. This will decrease the number of ends you will need to weave in.
  • Color A: White, Color B: Light Blue, Color C: Medium Blue; Color D: Dark Blue
