Triple Crochet 2 Stitches Together Photo Tutorial
This is also called Treble Crochet 2 Stitches Together
This stitch is used to decrease 2 stitches into 1 stitch. If you are trying to make a cluster stitch with 2 triple crochet stitches, you would follow the same instructions, only working both triple stitches in one stitch.
tr2tog – * Yarn over the hook twice, insert your hook into the next stitch, yarn over the hook and pull up 1 loop. Yarn over the hook and pull through 2 of the loops on the hook. Yarn over the hook and pull through 2 of the loops on the hook .* Repeat from * to *1 more time. You now have 3 loops on the hook. Yarn over and pull through all 3 loops.
please ignore the tr3tog in the right top corner of this image – I used the photos to demonstrate the 1st part of the stitch for both tr2tog and tr3tog as they are exactly the same process
Repeat 1 more time; you now have 3 loops on the hook.
Pull through all 3 loops on the hook to complete the tr2tog

Hi Julia, I used it in this afghan square pattern here: https://oombawkadesigncrochet.com/wave-and-chevron-stitch-square-llancs-2/ if you were looking for a project to try it on?
and also in this pattern for a grocery bag holder:
