Crochet the perfect springtime hat! This lovely textured hat is crocheted using DK Weight Yarn from the top down. Seamless stitch pattern from start to finish. Perfect for children and adults. Lovely design will reach the base of the earlobe. This hat is designed to fit and will be lovely as a chemo cap or donation project to your favorite hospital charities. If you would like your hat to be even longer than base of the earlobe, it is very simple to increase the length! Add 1 single round of the pattern stitch repeat to add approximately 1/2 inch in length.

- Yarn: Mary Maxim Ultra Mellowspun Yarn. (50 gm, 1 3/4 oz; 174 yds, 160 m) 70% acrylic, 30% nylon. Light [3] Yarn.
- Hook: 5 mm (H) Clover Amour
- Scissors, Yarn Needle, Stitch Marker (optional)

Special Stitches
Note…do not be afraid of the bobble ? it is basically a dc4tog all in one stitch…I will write it out for you below but if you have ever decreased double crochet stitches this is going to be a super easy project for you!
Beginning Bobble; abbreviated: beg-bo
Ch 2, *yarn over your hook, insert your hook into the first st of the row (this is the same one the ch 2 is in), yarn over and pull up 1 loop. Yarn over and pull through 2 of the loops on your hook.** Rep from * to ** 4 times. You will have 5 loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through all 5 loops. Now, ch 1.
Bobble; abbreviated: bo
*Yarn over your hook, insert your hook into the specified st, yarn over and pull up 1 loop. Yarn over and pull through 2 of the loops on your hook.** Rep from * to ** 4 times. You will have 5 loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through all 5 loops. Now, ch 1.

Notes
- For this project you will be working into the ch1sp you create after each bobble stitch. So unless otherwise noted, skip every bobble stitch in every round.
- If you have crocheted my All The Colors Cowl, this pattern is slightly different for the way we crochet the bobble stitch. We will be chaining 1 as part of our bobble stitches for this hat. Please review the abbreviations above or the video tutorial for assistance.
- For the single crochet rounds do not sl st to join at the end of each round.
- When working the sc rounds please remember you have replaced each bobble with 2 sc – this means you will have 3.2 sc per inch. If you have less than 3.2 sc per inch please take the sc sts out and try again. If you find it difficult to crochet loosely for these stitches I recommend you go up a hook size and try again. If you make these last few rows to tightly the hat will not fit on the head size it is intended for.
