Each pattern is written in U.S. Crochet Terminology, and includes pattern schematics and adorable crochet designs in multiple skill levels. The majority of the designs are for Intermediate Level Crocheters; 2 are Experienced and the remaining are Easy Level Patterns.

Patterns begin by listing the Skill Level, the Sizes, and Finished Measurements (i.e. length or chest, etc.). The Materials are indicated next, including the yarn, hook, buttons, elastic and other embellishments. The gauge is provided next and then the Pattern is provided in clearly labelled sections.

Crochet basics including the importance of proper gauge swatches and instructions for making the stitches used in the patterns are provided on pages 90 through 94.
