Tis’ the season to Crochet! Whatever you are crocheting – whether it be for family, friends, your home or even your fur babies – from November to February is definitely the time of year we all seem to have the urge to grab our crochet hooks and yarn to create something handmade and personal.
Red Heart Yarns and Oombawka Design present our
Share Your Projects + Giveaways Event
To start this season off right, we have decided to host an informal crochet-a-long where all you need to do to enter is:
- Choose and download any free crochet, knitting or craft pattern available at http://www.redheart.com/
- Create it using Red Heart Yarn. The yarn can be from your stash or you can purchase it specifically for the project. If you choose to purchase it from http://www.redheart.com/ Red Heart has made a 20% off coupon code for you to use toward the cost! Use coupon code: RHOOMB for 20% off of a purchase at RedHeart.com from November 1, to November 22, 2016.
- Submit a finished project photo into the Photo Gallery at the end of this post!
I will be sharing links to free qualifying patterns everyday from now until December 10th on my Facebook Page at approximately 9 am (ET). Or, if you want to dive right in and begin (there’s no time like the present!) you can find all the free patterns yourself right here: Free Crochet Patterns at Red Heart
I recently completed this project myself, for my daughter Darla, following the Simply Stated Child Poncho pattern designed by Cristina Mershon. It used just over 1 ball of Red Heart With Love Yarn (I made the size 6). For me to reach gauge I used a 6.5 mm (K) hook.
Entries can be added to the Gallery from November 1, 2016 at 12:01 am ET to December 10, 2016 at 11:59 pm ET and is open to participants in North America (USA, Canada, Mexico).
Each project photo submitted counts as 1-entry toward a $100.00 Red Heart Yarns Product Prize Pack. There is no limit to how many entries you can submit; however, each finished project qualifies for 1-entry only. (Note: If you crochet 10 of the same thing – you can submit 10-finished project photos!)
To make this Project A-Long even more exciting…
As more project photos are submitted, MORE prizes packages will become available!
For every 25 Project Photos* received, an additional $25.00 Red Heart Yarn Prize Pack will be unlocked!
* Project Photos qualify for entry when they are for finished projects, created by following a free crochet, knitting or craft pattern available from http://www.redheart.com/ and crocheted with Red Heart Yarns.
The Grand Prize Pack Includes $100.00 of Red Heart Yarn Products!
The Additional Prize Packs will each include $25.00 of Red Heart Yarn Products! (the number of prize packs is totally dependent upon the number of qualifying project photos you each add!!)
We’d love to see which projects you are working on so be sure to add #redheartyarnsoombawka to all the WIP photos you share online so we can find them too!
So do what you LOVE to do! CROCHET! Then add those photos below for a chance to do more of what you LOVE to DO!

#54 should say Grape Fizz yarn – not Purple Fizz, I made a mistake when I was typing it in!
Hi 🙂 I asked the submitter the same question but she never responded. I had to remove the image as an entry because they need to be Red Heart Patterns as well as Red Heart Yarn. It was so pretty – I wish she had let me know the pattern name!
unable to locate the pattern used in item #6 – V Stitch with pink red heart baby blanket – can you point me to it? ty
