I was intrigued – because I loved the finished pin and because it was crocheted using the fabric ‘yarn’ I had seen at Lens Mill Store the week before.
I had picked the Red Heart Boutique Sassy Fabric up and stared at it – while browsing the yarns…and wondered what I could use it for. It comes in a variety of different fabric prints – only some of which were at Lens Mill Store. Here are the available prints shown on the Red Heart website:

Lens Mill Store had Black Dot, Pink Dot, Red Dot, Snow Leopard and Tan Leopard available when I was browsing 🙂
I followed the instructions exactly; same yarns, same hooks – and ta da!
I think it turned out pretty well for my first attempt using the Boutique Sassy Fabric 🙂
It was a little bit challenging at first – just because it felt like I was trying to hold onto a lot while attempting to maintain a consistent gauge with my crochet stitches – the project became easier as I progressed and it took me less than 45 minutes to complete.
I still have over half the skein of fabric left to play with!
My mind is flitting between all the other uses for this fabric ‘yarn’ – there are some other lovely designs on Red Heart’s website – I am intrigued with what I can do with it – besides flowers and scarves.
I am also excited about their Boutique Sassy Lace – and I have a very specific plan for that lace!
Here are a couple more photos – one a bit further back to give you some perspective on the size of this pin – it is lovely as a pin and it is also lovely embellishing my sunhat – but this lovely is getting mailed away to a dear friend 🙂 I hope she loves it as much as I do!
