Practical Ayurveda

Ayurveda is an ancient lifestyle practice which when followed, can help bring balance to your life. By identifying your Ayurvedic body type and your patterns of health, you can learn how to treat your body and mind as a whole.

Practical Ayurveda includes detailed information about how you can become healthy and balanced by living the right way for your body. It is believed that in order to be healthy you must keep balance between 4 specific functions in your body. If any of these four things are out of balance the result is illness and disease.

Ayurveda means “the science of life”, and comprises a vast body of information about healthy living and treating disease.

After being introduced to the science behind Ayurveda we are given a questionnaire to complete. The questionnaire is the key to helping you understand and apply the teachings in Practical Ayurveda.

The questionnaire will determine your constitution. Your constitution is the key to your health and determined by how much of each dosha (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) is present in your own self. Once you have determined your constitution Practical Ayurveda outlines the different Mind and Body characteristics of the doshas.
