POSH PINK SCARF - Oombawka Design Crochet #SCARFOFTHEMONTHCLUB2017 AUGUST

To complete the Posh Pink Scarf this month, you need 1 ball of Caron Cakes Yarn and a 5.5 mm (I) crochet hook. I enjoyed crocheting this over the course of a weekend, while catching up on some Netflix shows I’ve been wanting to watch. I’ve included written instructions and some photos below, to help you with your scarves. After I was done crocheting I did do some gentle blocking.

If you do not have any Caron Cakes I think this will look equally lovely using  a solid color medium weight yarn, or even an Ombre or Striped yarn.

Have fun with this project – the stitch pattern becomes easy to remember quite quickly and then it becomes a relaxing project to crochet!

 Supplies

Difficulty Level

EASY

Finished Size

106 inches by 7 inches wide (the FPdc/BPdc section is 4.5 inches wide)

Gauge

You can substitute the yarn and hook of your choice for this design. Remember if you use a heavier weight yarn with a larger hook and then follow the written instructions; you will need more yarn than I used and the scarf will also be heavier and larger when it is finished.

Notes

  • This project is worked flat. If you prefer an infinity scarf, please gently block your project before seaming. I have included a few different options for seaming at the end of the post.
  • The initial ch 3 counts as 1 dc.
  • The initial ch 4 counts as 1 tr.
  • Since the initial ch 3 and ch 4 count as stitches this means you do not work into the base of the stitch, but begin in the next st of the row for each row.
  • Chain a multiple of 9+2
