New Baby Boy Hats Crochet Pattern Book Review

These adorable newborn baby boy hat patterns include the following designs: 

• a puppy dog, 
• an elephant, 
• a bee, 
• a football and 
• a sailboat design. 

The designs are created by using a mosaic dropped double crochet technique. This allows you to create an image by cleverly placing dropped dc stitches into the remaining front loop of stitches from 2 rounds below. 

All of the color changes that are made are done at the beginning of the rounds, so you are only working with ONE color at a time. The unused yarn color is carried up at the back seam and then picked up as needed. This means there are very few yarn ends to sew in!

The effect is similar to Mosaic Knitting, but it’s CROCHET! 

Yarn and Hook

The hat patterns are designed to be used with Baby, DK or Sport Weight Yarn and a 3.5 mm (E), or 3.75 mm (F) hook (or the size needed to reach the gauge specified in the pattern).

Sizes

The pattern includes hat sizes:

• Newborn (2 weeks to 3 months) and 
• 3 to 6 months. 

Difficulty Level

The patterns are considered Easy to Intermediate difficulty.
