For my finished crochet bag I used:

Yarn: 3 balls of Scheepjes Colour Crafter (Colors: 1065 Assen – Green, 1724 Helmond – Lavender, 1080 Venlo – Soft Rose)
Hook: 4 mm (G) Clover Amour

My finished measurements were 13.5 inches wide by 12 inches tall.

Squares: approximately 4 inches across
Round 1 Circles: 1 inch across
Round 2 Circles: 2.5 inches across

I used a slip stitch joining technique to join my squares together and followed Joanita’s instructions for the edging and ties.

I’m still struggling a bit with joining squares but I’m beginning to feel much more comfortable with the idea of joining them together 😉 a few more CAL projects and I’m sure I will become addicted to the process! I love making the squares – they are easy to take on the go and to work on in between other projects.

My process for making the squares is to make them in parts…so I crocheted all the lavender centers first and wove in those ends; then I added soft rose petals and wove in those ends and finally I worked the outer green granny square portion and wove those ends in.

I saw a number of great projects in our group and I especially loved the bags with the fabric linings added inside! Might have to try my hand at that soon too!

I hope you have all enjoyed the March CAL and I would love to see you join us again in April!
