Here’s how it works.
This month for our Crochet Along, I am sharing my 2022 Lucky Green Slouch Hat Pattern. This pretty crochet slouch hat is worked from the brim to the top of the hat in one piece.
We begin by crocheting the hat band, which is worked back-and-forth in rows. Then we rotate the project to crochet across the edges of the hat band and we begin working in joined rounds. You will need to turn your work at the end of the round before each round of puff stitches only. The remainder of the hat is crocheted without turning.
To make my Lucky Green Slouch Hat you will need Medium Weight Yarn [4] and a 4 mm (G) hook for the brim and a 5 mm (H) hook for the main hat.

Working with your 5 mm (H) hook:
Approximately 13 dc stitches per 4 inches and 8 rows dc per 4 inches.
Working with your 4 mm (G) hook (hat band):
Approximately 5 stitches per 1 inch and 16 rows per 4 inches.
You can substitute any yarn and hook for this stitch pattern – just remember when you substitute if your gauge is different, the finished size, and amount of yarn used for your project will also be different.

Special Stitches
Puff Stitch (ps)
(Yo, insert hook in specified st, pull up 1 loop) 3 times, yo, pull through 6 loops on hook, yo and pull through remaining 2 loops on hook. Push to RS.
