There’s still lots of time before Christmas to do a crochet project…but it’s never too early to start something good! ☺
Well, that’s what I did when I found the exact colors I wanted for a Christmas project…I made a cozy for my IKEA Mug!
Would you like one too?
Come, let’s make one!
Larksfoot – IKEA Mug Cozy
Materials:
- 100% Premium Micro Acrylic Yarn – {I used Red, White and Green}
- 3.5mm crochet hook (Recommended hook size for yarn is 4mm)
- Tapestry Needle to weave in the ends
- Scissors

LONG-DC: Yoh and draw up a loop in next ch-1 sp 2 rows below. (Yoh and draw through 2 loops on hook) twice.
Gauge: [DC – 5 stitches and 2 rows = 1 x 1 inch]
Finished Size: 8.5” length x 2.5” height
Notes:
- You can make longer or shorter cozy by changing the length of initial chain and make corresponding changes.
- Your chain count should be in {(multiples of 4) + 1} to make Larksfoot stitch.
Pattern:

- Join with the first SC made.

Take two ¾” button and attach it as in the image. Attach the top one near the border and the second one slightly away from the border.
And that’s it. Your mug is all set and ready for Christmas. Make yours now and make for your loved ones too.
Take care and Happy Hooking ☺
