40 Super Cute Amigurumi Patterns for Plants and More
Kawaii Crochet Garden
Kawaii Crochet Garden includes 40 adorable amigurumi patterns for plants, flowers, garden creatures and garden tools.
This amigurumi pattern book is filled with color and life and is 128-pages in length. The crochet patterns are clearly written and the instructions are in U.S. Crochet terminology. Helpful images are included throughout and some designs, like the leaves, include charts. The stitch counts are included at the end of the pattern rounds, inside [parentheses].
The book begins with the table of contents which is arranged by the colors of each of the amigurumi projects. For example, Daffodil is located in the Yellow section of the book.
Pages 6 and 7 explain the different tools and materials you will need to make the projects.
Items include fiberfill stuffing, chenille stems (pipe cleaners), floral wire, a hot glue gun, wire cutters, pins, toy safety eyes, scissors, yarn needles, cotton yarn (in Aran Weight [4] and DK Weight [3]), crochet hooks (in sizes 3.5 mm (E) and 2.5 mm (C)) and some stitch markers.
Color Theory, the Color Wheel and Colors in Nature are explained from pages 8 through 11.
I love the wide variety of crocheted potted plants, flowers and stems that can be made with the patterns in Kawaii Crochet Garden. The crocheted plant pots and vases have cute kawaii faces and garden creatures are equally adorable and would be fun as toys, as well as, decor items.
I appreciate the attention to detail that Melissa included in her images for things like how to add the wire to the stems and leaves. I’ve never used wire in this way before so I found it very helpful to see how it was done and so simply too!
The patterns range in difficultly from beginner to intermediate and are indicated by a small seed (beginner), a little plant with closed leaves and a grin (easy) and a grown plant with spread leaves and established roots (intermediate).

So cute and will be perfect as RAOCK give aways.
I think I’ll get this and make every project for my mom. She used to be an avid gardener but had to give it up. She would love to have these smiling at her every day!
So many wonderful things in this book to make, but I think my first project would be the star gazer flower and vase.
I love the Yellow grouping. I think the sunflower would be the first I would like to do.
Actually, I love them all. I enjoy doing Kawaii crochet, but don’t get to do it to often.
