Here’s how it works.
The Kathleen Headband, is a pretty and functional earwarmer you can wear during the cooler weather.
I’ve made this pattern available in a few different sizes from small child to adult large.
There is a video tutorial too, to help you with the construction of the earwarmer.
I have also included instructions on how to make this headband narrower (if you prefer a narrower width headband. I personally like it a little wider so I can pull it over my ears (I do not like cold wind in my ears!) and then I tuck the edges under when I wear it on warmer days.
I hope you enjoy making this free pattern!

Notes
- This project is worked in rows and then seamed with a twist, to form the finished earwarmer
- Change yarn colors on the last yarn over of the last dc stitch of each row. After changing colors, I did not carry my yarn for this project I finished it off at the end of the rows and wove in the ends. I do not recommend working over the other color yarn because it will decrease the elasticity you need for the headband to fit on the head.
