US Crochet Terms (UK Crochet Terms: Treble – tr)
- Place a slipknot on the crochet hook. TIP: Hold the yarn tail with your hook.
- Yarn over the hook. TIP: Place a finger on the yarn over to stop it from moving.
- Insert the hook into the stitch or chain space specified in the pattern instructions.
- Yarn over the hook.
- Pull up one loop. You have 3 loops on the hook.
- Yarn over the hook.
- Pull through 2 loops on your hook.
- Yarn over the hook.
- Pull through the remaining 2 loops on the hook to complete the stitch. TIP: You can let go of the yarn tail.
- Follow the pattern instructions. The photo example shows the joining double crochet stitch and 4 additional double crochet stitches.
