The Yarn I used for this project:
For my Herringbone Half Double Hat I used 2.3 oz (66 g) and 144 yds (132 m) of King Cole Drifter Aran yarn.
King Cole Drifter Aran Yarn is available in 11 different colors. It is a blended yarn, made up of Premium Acrylic (79%), Cotton (17%) and Wool (4%). It is easy to work with and the colors are muted and soft.
This yarn is beautifully soft and has a pretty lustre to it. The thickness of the strand was consistent for the entire project and I did not run into any knots or tangles as I worked from the center of the ball.
My stitches have great stitch definition and I did not find the yarn splitty while crocheting, it retained its structure well.
You can see all the pretty shades available here.
Disclaimer: The yarn used to create this project was given to me by King Cole.

- the first st of each round is worked in the same st as you sl st to join
- You don’t have to use a magic ring (DMR), learn more here.
- Small sizes have a hat band measuring approximately 1.25 inches, and larger sizes have a hat band measuring approximately 2.5 inches.
- Two hat height options are included in each pattern size. They are listed as: base of earlobe (slouch hat). The base of earlobe row numbers will give you a hat that reaches to the base of the earlobe, the (slouch hat) rows will give you a longer slouch hat with a band you can turn up.
- TURNING INSTRUCTIONS: If your hat finishes on an even numbered round, be sure to TURN your hat so the Right Side (RS) is facing before you begin the hat band.
