So What is Happy Yarn Mail?
Happy Yarn Mail is a monthly subscription service. A limited number of packages become available for sale beginning at 12:00 am ET, on the 1st of each month. These subscriptions can be purchased up until 11:59 pm ET on the 15th of the month; or until the limited number of subscriptions available sell out.
Once you sign up for your subscription, you will be charged for that month and then again, on the 1st of each following month, for as long as you remain a subscriber. You can cancel at any time and there is no long-term contract. If you cancel after you have already been billed for your next month, you will receive the one final shipment before the cancellation takes effect. Each parcel is shipped between the 25th and 30th of each month.
Did you know you can also choose to order Happy Yarn Mail as a one-time purchase? Well you can!
In each package you receive an exclusive printed in color Sewrella Crochet Pattern, all the yarn and supplies (like buttons) you need to crochet it and a secret code to access a video tutorial specific to the project. The only supply not included in your monthly yarn mail package is the crochet hook.
The type of crochet pattern varies from month to month. Past projects have included slippers, hats, cowls, mittens, amigurumi and decorative crochet items.

I’ve never joined a subscription program yet. Honestly, I’m not much for the element of surprise. But a couple of her previous boxes might be something I’d make.
I love her patterns and it was fun get this every month. But sad that she don’t do it anymore
I totally understand that – you never really know what you might get in the packages that are sent. Or if you will like the pattern you receive. I’ve belonged to a few different ones over the years and some of them sent me things I could not use or which were colors I totally disliked. Thankfully most of them allow you to unsubscribe immediately so you aren’t locked in for any more shipments! Best of luck 🙂 Rhondda
Thank you for the review I am still nervous to go for a yarn subscription
It is a surprise 🙂
Thank you for the review. Interesting concept. Is it a surprise each month or do you know ahead of time what the contents will be?
Hi Kim 🙂 Yes, Ashleigh confirmed for U.S. Residents it is 19.95 including shipping 🙂 Outside the US though shipping is extra. Hope this helps 🙂 It is a fun monthly package 🙂 All the best, Rhondda (You are very welcome for the patterns and I am super happy you like them!)
Hi Rhondda,
Thank you for all of your wonderful patterns!
I am wondering about the Happy Yarn Mail. Does the $19.99 cost per month include shipping as well within the USA? Looks like fun!
Best,
Kim
This sounds like a fun yarn subscription scheme, and from the contents of the most recent package, it sounds like even the scrap yarn leftover from making the included project could be used in the charity crochet projects I so often make. If only I had the storage space for the included yarn, and a far smaller backlog of WIPs wanting to be finished!
