I Love My Yarn Bowl from Furls @OombawkaDesign

Does the picture give it away? I’m sure it does!

Yes, I Love My Yarn Bowl!

I have wanted a yarn bowl for quite some time but I have never invested in one. There are so many beautiful yarn bowls available – but I have always been hesitant for a couple of reasons.

Mostly because of…

Drew holding Furls Yarn Bowl

my son! He is my 4-year old little “monkey” who runs about like crazy at times – full of life and energy.  I have always thought he would be so enamoured by my beautiful new yarn bowl he would need to touch it and of course, knock it on the floor where it would smash into a hundred pieces.  He is like a little tornado at times!

When Furls offered to send me one of their gorgeous yarn bowls, handmade out of acacia wood, I jumped at the chance! AND I love it!

The yarn bowl is very lightweight; however, it is super sturdy.

How do I know? Well Drew has already successfully knocked it on the laminate floor twice in the last 24 hours and my beautiful bowl remains 100% intact!

The bowl is lovely to hold – smooth and well made and I could easily fit 2 balls of yarn inside (the photo only shows one). It is a good size for my yarn balls and it has a lovely wide bottom so it will not tip over but remain where it is placed as long as Drew isn’t admiring it!

Would you like a Furls’ Yarn Bowl? Here’s your chance!

I am super excited to be able to host this Giveaway!

  3. I would love to win a yarn bowl, I would really love to try one of their hooks too an H or I would be perfect I think since those are the size I tend to use the most!! I have a Tornadic two year old grandchild that would love to play with the bowl along with all of his Nana’s hooks and Yarns!! 🙂

  4. Me either 🙁 They are so beautiful. I just love them. I am new to crochet (year) but I grew up around it. My mom crochets, when she was into it I wish I would have had the attention span to learn. I had to teach myself from YouTube tutorials but it worked and now I can make almost anything. I love crochet and I collect yarn bowls, but nothing this expensive or fancy. I will cross my fingers for you. 🙂 Good luck! You can drop by and say hello at my blog if you would be so kind. I would appreciate it. 🙂 Have a good evening.

  5. I would love to have an I or an G in the candy colors. I also have fallen in love all over again with the bowls. They are astonishingly beautiful and if they were in my budget I would own every one I could. I have quite the collection but none from Furl’s. I would love to win and it would be much loved and put to great use. I just love the bright shiny colors of the hooks. Happiness. Doesn’t take much. Thanks for sharing. I appreciate the time it takes for you to share all of this with us. My fingers are crossed!

  6. My favorite is the Heirloom hooks. I have a Bloodwood size I and I absolutely love it!

  7. Oh my! Furls offers such lovely things! I’ve been dreaming of a wooden yarn bowl. My grandmother used to make lamps and trays and bowls from wood – she would have so appreciated the artistry in these.

  16. Hi Catherine, lol actually both my children were ‘biters’ – not wood thankfully but fabric and couches! Maybe since the bowl isn’t stick shaped you will be safe 🙂 Have a lovely week! Rhondda

  17. Does your little one ever get mouthy/chew on things? I have a small dog who thinks all bamboo & wooden crochet hooks she can reach are her chew toys, so I’ve learned not to leave any of my hooks on the floor. (Hopefully my dog won’t decide a wooden yarn bowl is a large chew toy!)
