It’s made with Red Heart Roll With It Sparkle yarn and simple stitches—great for quick gifts or to wear yourself. You can make it on its own, or use the leftover yarn from the Feel the Sparkle Triangle Scarf to complete the set.

Feel the Sparkle Hat is Easy to Crochet in Multiple Sizes

The Feel the Sparkle Hat is a free crochet pattern made with Red Heart Roll With It Sparkle yarn (Medium Weight). You’ll only need one cake of yarn to make this pretty crocheted hat in any size. The top-down hat works up quickly and you can use the rest of the yarn cake to make the matching triangle scarf pattern, or even more Feel the Sparkle Hats!

• Recommended hook size is 5 mm (US H-8)
• Machine wash warm and gentle cycle. Tumble dry low. Do not overdry. Do not bleach. Do not iron.

Supplies

• Yarn: Yarnspirations. Red Heart Roll with it Sparkle. 5.29 oz (150 g) and 561 yds (513 m). 97% Acrylic, 3% Other Fibers. Medium Weight Yarn [4]. Machine wash and dry.
• Color:  1 skein Pixie.
• Crochet Hook: 5 mm (H)
• Finished Project: Teen Hat: 1.26 oz (36 g) and 135 yds (123 m)
• Scissors, Tapestry Needle (yarn needle)

Gauge

• Approximately 14 dc per 4 inches and 9 rows in pattern stitch per 4 inches.

You can substitute any yarn and hook for this stitch pattern – just remember when you substitute if your gauge is different, the finished size, and amount of yarn used for your project will also be different.

• Multiple of 2
• You may substitute your favorite method for starting in rounds for the DMR (double magic ring) if you prefer.
• Initial ch 3 does not count as a stitch and we do not work into it – until indicated.
• Sl st to join is made in the first st of the round (skipping over the ch 3).
• You can make your slip stitches tightly as we will not be working into them.
• Work the first st of each round into the same stitch that has the slip stitch join and initial ch 3.
• If you’d like to increase the hat height, work more repeat rounds. The repeat rounds have 1 dc in each stitch around.
