In case this is your very first visit, let me fill you in on what happens on the 2nd Tuesday of every month this year!

On the 2nd Tuesday of every month in 2018, we will be hosting a Yarn and Hook Giveaway for you, our readers. Our intent is to offer you a crochet hook and yarn combination you can use together to create something beautiful!

This month we have a special prize package for you including multiple balls of the beautiful Lion Brand Jeans® Yarn and YOUR CHOICE of 1 original handmade polymer clay handled hook from Carola’s Polymer Clay Shed on Etsy!

I have one of Carola’s hooks myself and I totally love it. Not only is it ergonomic and sized large enough for me to hold comfortably with my hands, it is super fun too! I have a Fox one, like >THIS<

February Yarn and Hook Giveaway with Amy from the Stitchin Mommy and Rhondda from Oombawka Design

For this month’s giveaway, Lion Brand Yarns has generously donated 4 balls of their beautiful Lion Brand Jeans® Yarn.

LBY Jeans Yarn

Lion Brand Jeans® Yarn is 100% acrylic, medium weight [4] yarn. The recommended hook size is 5.5 mm (I). Each ball contains 100 g (3.5 oz) and 246 yds (225 m). This yarn is machine wash and dry so it is easy-to-care for too! Check out all 7 of the color options and the kits available on their website >HERE<

Which is your favorite of the 7 colors? I want to make a blanket in this yarn and wrap myself up in it!

You can watch a little video from Lion Brand Yarns about their Jeans® Yarn here:

Carola from Polymer Clay Shed on Etsy has donated 1 hook of YOUR CHOICE, from her shop. Carola’s hooks are bright and colorful. She hand makes these polymer clay handles in 2 different lengths (short or long) depending on which is your preference and she also offers two brands of hooks as the base hook. You can choose Boye or Bates.

Here’s a little look at some of her fantastic polymer clay handles:

You may want to take a moment to browse her online shop to see what else she has available. I’ve been eyeing the fun stitch markers and her magnetic needle cases for a while now. She has such fun and practical items in her shop. I love when I can find pretty tools I can use everyday with my favorite hobby!

  1. Hi Gabriela, I apologize. This giveaway is limited this time – normally we have them open worldwide so pop back later this month for the giveaway we have on the 27th 🙂 Thank you for being so understanding!! Rhondda

  2. Hi Mattie, I totally understand 🙂 I have to be careful with wool too. Especially if I’m going to wear the finished project myself! Wishing you the best, Rhondda

  3. Hello Rhonda!! Please excuse me I enroll in the giveaway not reading that was only for residents in USA and Canada. Hope you can take me out of it.
    Thank you!

  4. I am glad that you put a link to the lion brand yarn. Although I love to enter contests, I cannot use wool yarn and don’t enter if it is not an acrylic yarn.

  5. Always great creative patterns and support thru videos a great bonus!
