RED CROSS WAR MEMORIAL CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL:
Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital is South Africa’s only dedicated child health institution and offers a comprehensive range of specialist paediatric services to children. It is a centre of excellence for the training of all categories of child health professionals.
Children from all nine provinces of South Africa and from all over Africa are referred to the Hospital by referral hospitals, clinics and smaller hospitals. The hospital is active in paediatric outreach and support programmes across South Africa.
The Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital also performs research which impacts healthcare on a global level. Read more about the Global Impact.

The Children’s Hospital Trust
The Children’s Hospital Trust was established in 1994 to fundraise for the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital – the largest stand-alone tertiary hospital in sub-Saharan Africa, dedicated entirely to children. The Trust is an independent, non-profit organisation that relies on the benevolence of donors to realise its aims.

The Friends of the Children’s Hospital Association is a non-profit organisation registered with the Department of Social Development and has been a support organisation to the Red Cross Children’s Hospital since 1978.

How We Can Help
The Friends Fundraising Shop Accepts Donations of:
Goods:
Toys (new or used), books, clothing, blankets, household goods, etc. These items must be in clean and working condition and may be sold in order to raise funds to help support the Red Cross Children’s Hospital provide care and services.
Financial Donations:
