I came across a great tutorial written by Crocheterie about how to make ‘hats’ for hair clips – and I have been meaning to give it a try.
The tutorial shows you how to make the hair clip hats and how to secure them so they do not slide off the end of the clips.
I modified Darla’s slightly – because I didn’t have exactly the same yarn and hook available that Crocheterie used in her tutorial – but the concept is the same and they do take less than 10 minutes to make 🙂
You can also find some beautiful crochet embellishment patterns from Crocheterie (some free and some for sale) that you can use to decorate your hair clips 🙂
The flower below is the large flower pattern I shared on Tuesday’s post – because Darla asked for that one in pink – it is made using Aunt Lydia’s Crochet Thread, Classic 10 and a 2.25 mm crochet hook (B).
