Hi Donna, It would depend on the pattern – many of them indicate what size the pattern should fit. Others included instructions to make them bigger or smaller based on your own measurements. I don’t think one size would fit all – being plus sized I know that regular adult ones will be too small – my calves are plus sized like the rest of me. So it would be best to measure your own (or the recipients calf) and then compare it to the finished size in the leg warmer pattern. Hope this helps, Rhondda
