Danyel Pink recently closed her crochet website (Danyel Pink Designs) and retired from the world of crochet. Oombawka Design purchased the full rights to this pattern, which means now I can share it with you.
I’m happy to be able to include this adorable baby diaper cover and beanie pattern with my other free patterns on the Oombawka Design Crochet blog.

Other suggestions you can try for this pattern:
- You may want to work the last round of single crochet in a constrasting color.
- Trim the hat and diaper cover in fun fur or a boucle yarn for extra texture.
- Try a variegated yarn for a funky colored set.
- Add a small pompom to the hat.
- You may want to add animal ears to the hat and an animal tail to the diaper cover for a cute zoo set!
- If you work the entire pattern through both loops you will have a smoother look to the finished set (less texture).
- Other yarns that work well for this pattern include: Vanna’s Choice, Red Heart with Love, I Love this Yarn, and Lion Brand Cotton.

Hi Kathy, I apologize! There was a typo. It should read: R10: 2 dc in the bl of the first st. *1 dc in the fl of the next st, 1 dc in the bl of the next st**. Work from * to ** across to the last st. 2 dc in the last st, ch 2, turn. [22 dc]
On the diaper cover in rows 10 and 11 when you repeat them on 12-19, how did you get 26 total stitches when done?
Such a cute little set!!
