This pattern was very easy to follow and produces a comfortable and pretty alternative to a hat. It fits very well and stays put.

Here is my finished project:

I chose to use three colours but it will work equally well in one if you do not want to change colours every few rows, or if you only have one on hand.

The total time to crochet. for me, was about an hour and a half – while watching television (Criminal Minds). I was a bit distracted 😉

I used Vanna’s Choice (Light WW Yarn – wraps per inch approximately 10) – and a 5.50 mm crochet hook. You could substitute Red Heart Soft, or even Loops & Threads Impeccable Yarn.

My finished measurement after Round 1, using Fdc was 19″ – I was following the instructions for my the Large Head 😉 I tried it around my head to be sure it was not too tight, or too loose. It fit me perfectly so I believe it will also fit the intended recipient.

I highly recommend this pattern – pretty and functional and a quick project.

If you need a last minute gift, or you want to stock a Craft Show Table this is a good choice!
