About the Cozy Texture Hat

This hat features a subtle textured griddle stitch pattern that adds interest without extra bulk. It is worked in the round for a comfortable everyday fit.

The texture shines in solid colors and keeps the project simple and relaxing to crochet.

Matching Scarf Pattern

This hat was designed to coordinate with the Cozy Texture Crochet Scarf. Together, they create a practical handmade set that works well for gifting or everyday wear.

Design Notes

  • The brim is worked with a smaller hook to create structure and stretch. The larger hook is then used for the body of the hat to maintain softness and drape.
  • You can easily customize the length by adding or removing repeat rounds before shaping the crown.
  • If you substitute yarn, your finished size and yardage may change. Use the hook size recommended on your yarn label and check your gauge as needed.

The Yarn – Red Heart Soft

Yarnspirations Red Heart Soft is a #4 medium (worsted) 100% acrylic yarn known for its extreme softness and beautiful drape, making it a great choice for scarves, cowls, and other cozy wearables. It comes in a wide range of colors and works up nicely with a 5.5 mm (I) crochet hook.
