Crochet Charities

Many Charities and non-profit organizations accept crocheted items as donations. Our Crochet Charities Page includes a directory of some of these organizations to help you find a place where your crocheted items will be happily accepted.

Confirm the Current Needs of the Charity

Please remember to double check with the organizations to see if their needs or requirements have changed. Sometimes they need different items depending on the season and the number of donations they have already received during the year.

Restrictions for Safety Reasons

It is also important to note that some organizations have restrictions in place. For example, some will not accept items which have been crocheted with wool due to allergies and sensitives of the patients the items will be distributed to (chemo caps, preemie hats, etc.); other organizations may request there be no buttons or embellishments included for safety reasons (babies).
