January #CALOFTHEMONTH2017 Pillow Project!

Scrapalicious Cushion by Joanita Theron

Yarn: DK Weight Yarn
Hook: 3.5 mm (E)
Finished Size: 35 cm by 32 cm
Closure: Fold Over Flower Button

As this is a ‘scrap’ yarn cushion you can select whichever yarns you have in your stash to complete your pillow! We are starting the year off the right way using up some of our stash yarn!

Joanita’s pillow was crocheted in DK Weight Yarn with a 3.5 mm (E) crochet hook; however, you can substitute with the yarn of your choice so long as you use the same brand / weight yarn for the entire project.

I am using:

Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver in 4 colors (Approximately 1/2 ball of each: Pool, Red, White and Black)
Hook: 4 mm (G) Clover Amour Crochet Hook

My Small Squares are 3.5 inches by 3.5 inches
My Large Square is 15 inches wide by 12.5 inches tall (don’t worry it will be square after the flap is added!).

After joining, edging and assembly I believe my finished pillow will be approximately 16 inches by 16 inches in size.

What You Need To Do To Get Ready:

1. Choose Your Yarn!

2. Create Your Project Page on Ravelry HERE

Choose Add to Favorites and Hook It! to set up your Project Page.

If you need help with this, here is a walk-through tutorial to show you how to add your Project on Ravelry. I thank you in advance for creating your project pages. It helps us keep track of the number of participants who complete their projects each month and it helps us decide which types of projects you enjoy (both for type and difficulty level!) for future Months.

3. If you need help with your CAL project, or you want to share your progress in a group setting; join us in the CWU CAL Group on Facebook!
