Super Scarves Review

Do you love staying warm and snug during the cold winter months? Super Scarves includes 5 trendy supersized scarves you can crochet and wear during our winter months. These pretty cabled designs are guaranteed to provide extra warmth AND are one of the hottest trends this season!

Perfect for both men and women, these super scarves measure approximately 14 inches wide and 120 inches long.

Yarns used to create these designs include Medium Weight, Bulky Weight and Super Bulky Weight Yarns. Gauge is provided to ensure you make the size scarf you want and all 5 scarves are considered to be EASY+ difficulty level.

The 5 Designs included are:

  • Alternating Cables [13.5 inches wide by 120.5 inches long; Bulky Weight yarn, 8 mm (L) hook]
  • Basketweave [13.75 inches wide by 112.5 inches long; Medium Weight yarn, 8 mm (L) hook]
  • Braided Cables [15 inches wide by 115 inches long; Bulky Weight yarn, 9 mm (M/N) hook]
  • Woven Cables [14.5 inches wide by 122.5 inches long; Bulky Weight yarn, 8 mm (L) hook]
  • Striped Cable [14 inches wide by 120 inches long; Super Bulky Weight yarn, 10 mm (N/P) hook]

At the beginning of each pattern you will find a stitch guide – outlining any special stitches used in the written instructions. The stitch guide works you through each part of the stitch, step-by-step and refers you to diagrams for assistance in the General Instructions section in the back of the book (page 23).

The patterns are written in American Crochet Terms.

My favorite designs are:

  • Braided Cables
  • Alternating Cables

Which are your favorites?

  1. Great look scarves, but they are huge!!! If only I loved in a cold region because these would definitely keep me warm. I think I like the braided cables pattern the best. Thanks

  2. I make prayer shawls, and I can see how these patterns could easily be converted into shawls.
