Notes

  • Stitch multiple: 4 (Understanding Stitch Multiples)
  • The initial ch-3 does not count as a stitch until specified.
  • The sl st does not count as a stitch
  • Make your sl st tightly
  • You may customize the Betsy Hat height by working the repeat as many, or as few, times as you wish. Every 2 rounds you add with the stitch pattern, will add approximately 1-inch of height to the hat.
  • I use an invisible join to finish off my final round of stitches, you may substitute a sl st to join if you prefer.

  1. Hi Anke, At the end of the pattern there is a Finishing Instruction section for all sizes. All you need to do is finish off and weave in ends. Best wishes, Rhondda

  2. Hello, I want to make the Betsy hat but I cannot find the Finishing Instructions.
Can you explain them to me please?
    Thanks in advance.

  3. Hi Elizabeth, It was a copy/paste error. I apologize for the confusion. I’ve updated the numbers in the post now to be sequential (i.e. making the second Row 6, Row 7…and changing the other rows to be, 8, 9…etc.). Thank you for letting me know this was written incorrectly! Rhondda

  4. why is there two round 6 rows in the adult medium and large size patterns?
