The Yarn

This dishcloth is made with Lily Sugar’n Cream yarn in Potpourri Ombre.

For this Kitchen Dishcloth I used approximately 64 yards (58 meters) of Sugar’n Cream yarn. This yarn is 100% cotton. Each 56 g ball contains approximately 95 yards (87 meters).

Lily Sugar’n Cream Cotton Aran comes in a wide range solid colors, stripes, ombres, twists and prints. It’s a soft, machine-washable cotton that’s perfect for dishcloths and other kitchen projects. The yarn holds up well with daily use and washing.

Notes:

  • I begin with a DMR (double magic ring) but you may use your favorite starting method to begin. Alternately, ch 4 and work Rnd 1 into the 4th ch from the hook. The first 3 skipped chs would replace the initial ch 3.
  • Ch 3 counts as 1 dc.
  • Sl st to join is made in the first st of the round.
  • Corner sc is the middle stitch worked in the ch2sp. (1 dc, 1 sc, 1 dc)
  • Extra photos follow the written pattern.
  • Project is reversible up to the final round.
  • To increase the size, work more repeats of Rnd 4 and Rnd 5
