Baby Toys Afghan ePattern

Carol designed this fantastic Baby Toys Afghan to be crocheted using her dropped double crochet method, in-the-round, to allow it to be a finished square blanket without any fringed edge.

This afghan features teddy bears, stars, rocking horses, abc blocks and rubber duckies.

I personally love crocheting things in-the-round because it removes the need to chain a huge number of starting stitches to begin.

Afghan Size

  • Baby Size | 42 inches X 42 inches | Baby, DK or Sport Weight yarn | 3.50 mm (E) hook

You can make this afghan in a single solid-color panel, or as a multi-color panel.

The pattern includes instructions written in US Crochet Terms. Optional graphs are provided to illustrate the stitches for those who prefer working from graphs.

Although this adorable afghan looks difficult to make, it is incredibly easy-to-crochet!

Only simple stitches are used to make this afghan, so I feel a determined beginner would be able to master the pattern. You will only need to understand where to find the front loops and back loops of your stitches, single crochet, double crochet and slip stitches.

Carol has prepared a video to help you master the technique too. Watch the video here.

The Baby Toys Afghan ePattern is available for purchase from Shady Lane Original Crochet Designs. The current price (which is subject to change) at the time of this post being written is $7.95 USD.

If you would like to get your own copy today, you can use this coupon to receive 15% off: BAWKA and the coupon can be used on any of the patterns on her site.

If you win the raffle and you have already purchased the booklet, Carol will be happy to substitute another Shady Lane ePattern of your choice from her designs!

If you enjoy using the Dropped Double Crochet technique, then I suggest you check out the other patterns available from Carol for Native American designs, hearts, diamonds, teddy bears, choo-choo trains, kitty cats and castles on her website.

  1. I think my favorite all-time pattern of Shady Lane’s is her Night Night Teddy Bear Afghan.
