Alternate Section 6 – WONDER Crochet Blanket CAL

Here’s how it works.

If you are making the Wonder Crochet Blanket with us in our CAL this year then this post is for you!

I received some feedback that some of you were hoping for a heavier finished blanket from this CAL – so I thought it would be best to provide an optional section you can use as an alternate to my Section 6 (which was a little bit more open – and lightweight than the other sections).

Feel free to use this as a substitute for any section of the CAL – or leave it out entirely. Another option – you can work Rows of double crochet or half double crochet in place of sections you would rather not complete. Just be sure you finish up so the next section you begin starts on the RS of the project.

Hopefully the alternate section(s) will also be helpful for those of you who are intending to add some extra length to your blanket.

  1. Do you have the instructions for the whole Afghan? I tried the link with no results. Thanks

  2. I love these squares and cant wait to see what everyones blankets looks like

  3. I am having a problem with R4. When you finish R3, you end with one sc, but in R4, it says to repeat R3 which ends with one sc, but the instructions say chains (counts as 1 dc), skin the first sc, 1 dc in the spring bet the first scene and the second sc of the row. Very confusing.

  4. I am trying to make an afghan by using just Row 4 of this pattern, Wonder Crochet Blanket Cal, I am just not getting it, could you please help me?! I just can’t seem to follow along on the pattern. I really need your help! Thank you.

  5. Thank you so much for an alternate pattern. I am making one for my son and the other pattern was just too girly.
