    Supplies

    • Yarn: Lion Brand Mandala® Ombre Yarn. 5.3 oz (150 g)  and 344 yds (315 m). 100 % acrylic. Medium Weight Yarn [4]. Machine wash and dry.
    • Colors: 1 skeins in Mantra (202)
    • Hook: 5.5 mm (I). 
    • Finished Project Yardage: 150 g / 344 yds (5.3 oz / 315 m)
    • Scissors, Yarn Needle, Stitch Marker

    Difficulty Level

    • Easy

    Finished Size

    • Triangle Scarf length approximately 64 inches X 12 inches wide

    Gauge

    • Approximately 2 rows per inch and 3 dc per inch

    You can substitute any yarn and hook for this stitch pattern – just remember when you substitute if your gauge is different, the finished size, and amount of yarn used for your project will also be different.

    Abbreviations

    US Terminology used

    • BB – back bar (aka third loop)
    • ch – chain
    • dc – double crochet
    • dc2tog –  double crochet 2 together
    • dc3tog – double crochet 3 together
    • R – row
    • rem – remaining
    • rep – repeat
    • sk – skip
    • st/sts – stitch/stitches
    • * to **– Repeat the instructions between the asterisks the number of times indicated. This repeat will contain of multiple instructions.
    • [] – at the end of the row – the total number of stitches
    • () – important notes AND sets of stitches to be worked within one stitch, or space

    Notes:

    • The initial ch 2 does not count as a stitch and we do not work into it. You may want to mark the ch 2 to remind yourself.
    • The first dc is worked in the very first st of the row (the same one that already has that ch 2 in it that we are not counting).
    • The back bar (or third loop) is located immediately below the back loop of the stitch (on the back side of your work). 

    Alesha Fall Triangle Scarf Pattern

    This triangle scarf is crocheted back and forth in rows, width-wise.

    Using your 5.5 mm (I)  hook (or size required for gauge):

    R1: Ch 4 (sk 3 ch counts as 1 dc), 2 dc in the 4th ch from hook. Ch 2, turn. [3 dc]

    R2: 1 dc in the BB of each dc (including the top of the sk 3 ch) across. Ch 2, turn. [3 dc]

    R3: 2 dc in the BB of the first dc (see notes), 1 dc in the BB of each rem dc across. Ch 2, turn. [4 dc]

    R4: 1 dc in the BB of each dc across. Ch 2, turn. [4 dc]

    R5-R66: Rep R3 and R4

    R67: BB dc2tog, 1 dc in the BB of each rem dc across. Ch 2, turn. [34 dc]

    R68: 1 dc in the BB of each dc across. Ch 2, turn. [34 dc]

    R69-R132: Rep R67 and R68

    R133: BB dc3tog. [1 dc]

    Proceed to finishing instructions.

    Finishing Instructions:

    • Finish off and weave in ends.
