Easy Crochet Bunny Blanket: Review
This month, Carol Hegar from Shady Lane Original Crochet Designs has given me a copy of her this Adorable Bunny Blanket ePattern to review and a second copy to giveaway to one of my readers! This electronic booklet includes 6 pages of written instructions to make this adorable crochet afghan in two sizes.
The stitches you will be using to create these projects are:
back loop (bl)
beginning (beg)
chain (ch)
double crochet (dc)
front loop (fl)
loop (lp)
loops (lps)
single crochet (sc)
single crochet bobble stitch (scb)
slip stitch (sl st)
stitch (st)
stitches (sts)
together (tog)
yarn over (yo)
The Bunny Blanket Afghan is created by using a mosaic dropped double crochet technique. This technique allows you to create an image by cleverly placing dropped dc stitches into the remaining front loops of stitches from 2 rounds below. It is a very easy technique and suitable for even newer crocheters!
One special stitch was used in this pattern. The special stitch is called the single crochet bobble stitch (scb) is created by making 4 sc in a single stitch and then closing them together with a bobble technique (which is very simple and outlined on page 3). It is basically a popcorn stitch created with 4 sc stitches.
