Sometimes it is just easier to find everything in one place 😉 So here is a list to help you find free crochet patterns online by yarn type! I have found online that have free crochet patterns included on their sites…have fun browsing!

Berroco – Free Crochet Patterns – Currently there are 138 patterns available
Cascade Yarns – Free Crochet Patterns – This one is a wee bit more complicated to search – you need to use the small scroll bars beside the pictures to view the photographs of the available patterns and then Click on the Photo to view the pattern
Classic Elite Yarns – Free Crochet Patterns – Firstly I love this site and I actually subscribe to their newsletter 🙂 but they do really make it hard to find their free patterns easily – you have to view each Web-Letter Issue and open it to find out if the pattern in the photo is Knit or Crochet – well worth it but you need to have the time to browse 🙂
Coats & Clark – Free Crochet Patterns – an extensive collection of free crochet patterns and resources
Crystal Palace Yarns – Free Crochet Patterns – this list is alphabetical; the C stands for crochet the N stands for new and no coding beside the title is Knit
DMC – Free Crochet Patterns – this site is Country specific for its patterns here is the US Free Crochet Patterns List, the UK Free Crochet Patterns List, and Mexico’s site has a Red Tablecloth Pattern that I didn’t see on the other lists.
Drops – Free Crochet Patterns – this is one of my favorite sites for inspiration 🙂
Lion Brand Yarns – Free Crochet Patterns – this list includes All Free Crochet Patterns, All Free Knitting Patterns and All Free Craft Patterns with multiple categories in each (categories like: patterns for pets, home, children, babies, teens, adults, etc.)
Pierrot Yarns – K for Knit and C for Crochet – you choose your category and then you can browse through the images for the patterns you want to download – when you select the image you want a pdf will download – the patterns are primarily diagrams and charts with some written text
Plymouth Yarn Company Inc – Free Crochet Patterns – mainly scarves – very small selection but worth a look
Premier Yarns – Free Crochet Patterns – some very lovely crochet patterns in their collection
Red Heart Yarns – Free Crochet Patterns – On the right-hand side you can select categories – to view the Crochet patterns only, you need to change the selection in the Patterns for Yarns category… to Crochet
Rowan – Free Crochet Patterns with Free Registration – some extremely stunning designs – the site requires free registration
Universal Yarn – Free Crochet Patterns – this page combines the crochet and knit free patterns
Yarnspirations – Free Crochet Patterns – is new and amazing – combining the patterns available for Bernat, Lily Sugar’n Cream, Patons and Caron yarns into one searchable database – convenience is a huge selling feature of this newly launched database!
