Try this beautiful shell baby hat with earflaps pattern from MyHobbyIsCrochet! I love how she worked the earflap portion into the shell stitch pattern for this design to make it a truly seamless looking piece!

Shell Baby Earflap Crochet Hat

The next project I was able to crochet from my endless bucket list, is this lovely shell stitch earflap hat designed by Kinga of My Hobby is Crochet.
I saw this posted on Google+ a few weeks ago and shared it to my Facebook page – and added it to my bucket list.
I used Caron Simply Soft and a 4.5mm hook.  The yarn is LOVELY to work with – it is so soft and it glides so smoothly through the fingers –
I crocheted this while visiting my mother-in-law; we all sat outside, in the shade of her lovely new metal gazebo.  It was a wonderful afternoon … filled with laughter and food and happy Littles …  my children spent an enjoyable hour running through her sprinkler.
It was their first time running through a sprinkler – they had a blast! and we had such fun watching them!
The Shell Baby Hat with Earflaps pattern works up quickly; it only took a few hours to complete from start to finish.
I chose to use another pattern by Kinga for the embellishment – her Crochet Dahlia Flower pattern.  I’ve made a few of these already this summer – also a very rewarding pattern –
This pretty hat is a gift for my niece Savannah 🙂 She is sure to love it – it is so soft and lightweight!  Perfect for fall.
I forgot to mention, both these patterns are FREE!
