Cherry Delicious Pot Holder
Designer: Kat Goldin
I recently decided to participate in the Crochet Camp event taking place this year from July 15- August 9th, 2013.
This event is organized and hosted by Designer Kat Goldin.
You can see all the links pertaining to the Crochet Camp event here.
Currently listed on the page are detailed tutorials on the basic crochet stitches, working in rounds, working left and right-handed crochet, guest posts, interviews and a giveaway for a 1-year subscription to Simply Crochet magazine (ending July 27, 2013 at 9pm – UK time I suspect).
The page is continually updated with new posts.
The first ‘assignment’ for Crochet Camp was the Cherry Delicious Pot Holder. This is the first potholder I have ever crocheted and I really like it. Although I think it is too pretty to use – so it may be the one that remains hanging like ‘art’ on the hook on the side of my fridge.

To create my version of this pretty I used Bernat Handicrafter Cotton from my stash and 5 mm crochet hook.
The pattern was extremely easy to follow and the tutorial provided photos and explanations for each step. If you are brand-new to crocheting this is an excellent place to start your journey.
Here is my finished potholder:
Happy crocheting!
