Included in this eBook are 8 different Animal Scarves & Infinity Cowls that you can crochet with Medium Weight Yarn. These animal scarves are worked back and forth in rows. The first animal motif will be added to the existing scarf without fastening off, while the second motif will be added to the other edge of the scarf by rejoining the yarn to the right side of the project.
Each pattern is listed as difficulty level Intermediate. You will need 2 crochet hooks to make the project, one for the main scarf/cowl and the second for the animal portion. The hooks required are 3.25 mm (D) and 3.5 mm(E). The scarves are crocheted with Medium Weight Acrylic Yarn [4]. The animal section of the pattern is worked in single crochet and the color changes are worked from the color charts included in each pattern section. The second motif that you add will be worked from the same chart; however, it will be worked in the reverse direction.
The changes for the infinity cowls are written in [ ]. There are also additional and separate instructions for the Cowl included in the motif section, for those who prefer the infinity cowl design.
Patterns Included in Animal Scarves & Infinity Cowls
The patterns are written in US crochet terms. The eBook is in full color, with full color images. Bold type and italics are used throughout to emphasize important headings and notes.
The basic stitch guide is provided on pages 27. If you need additional help you can check out Annie’s Online Stitch Guide.
I love the idea of these scarves and cowls and I especially love the horse and llama designs. I only wish the eBook included instructions for how to work the charted sections of the pattern, for those who have never worked with a chart for color changes before. These scarves and cowls will make lovely gifts!
