Animal Backpack Patterns
These 8 Adorable Animal Backpack Patterns were designed by Kristi Simpson, for Leisure Arts. The patterns are listed at an EASY crochet level and each project uses Medium Weight Yarn [4] and a 5 mm (H) hook. Other supplies you will need are small amounts of Fiberfill, Permanent Fabric Glue, and each backpack requires 2 Hook-and-Loop Fastener Circles (5/8 inch).
The designs feature 8 animals / creatures. There are animals that will work for both boys and girls and the backpacks each measure approximately 11 inches in height, 15 3/8 inches width and 10 inches deep.
The finished backpacks are adorable, sturdy (because they are worked in medium weight yarn and appealing to children and adults too!

Each pattern is in American Crochet Terms. The instructions are written out in full and the stitch counts are provided. Each pattern includes it’s own specific Stitch Guide for special stitches. Finishing instructions are included in each individual pattern and diagrams are provided to assist with details like creating the manes, the antenna and making a pom-pom. The eBook is 50-pages in length and each pattern is illustrated with a color images.
General Instructions
Abbreviations, symbols and terms are included on page 45. You will find important information about gauge and crochet terms in this section too. The terms and techniques include written instructions and diagrams (or photographs) to illustrate how to complete the stitches.

I absolutely love having grandkids due to designers like yourself and being able to see all and almost(LOL…mind you there will never be enough), of soo many genre’s and styles that I’d never know whats out there than what I see at my local and chain craft stores offer!
