I love Stitch Books!

750 Knitting Stitches, The Ultimate Knit Stitch Bible is filled with easy-to-follow written instructions for more than 750 different Knitting Stitches. You will also find detailed charted instructions for many of the Cable Stitches and Colorwork Stitches. You will find Knit and Purl Stitches, Cable and Aran Stitches, Lace and Eyelet Stitches, Colorwork Stitches and Edgings and Trims.

This 288-page book includes gorgeous color photographs of the stitches in various colors of yarn. The book begins by introducing you to the tools and equipment you will need to knit your projects and then you receive detailed written instructions, with diagrams, for some of the more basic stitches such as:

  • Casting On
  • Knit Stitch
  • Purl Stitch
  • Binding Off
  • Increasing
  • Decreasing
  • Joining in a New Color of Yarn on a Knit Row
  • Joining in a New Color on a Purl Row
  • Joining in a New Color in the middle of a Row
  • Changing Colors in a Straight Vertical Line
  • Eliminating Ends

Next you receive some very helpful tips:

  • Advice on Knitting Lace
  • Advice on Knitting Edgings

The helpful tips are followed by:

  • Key to the Stitch Diagrams
  • Abbreviations

The terms are written in American, U.S. English.

This really is the only stitch guide you will need for your Knitting Projects. Although 750 Knitting Stitches, The Ultimate Knit Stitch Bible is based on the previously published The Harmony Guides, this publication includes new stitches and reworked swatches in updated yarns.  Overall this is a valuable reference book filled with beautiful photographs, how to knit instructions and hundreds of different knitting stitches.

If you would like to purchase your own copy, it is available on Amazon.
