Crochet Donut Buddies

Crochet Donut Buddies includes patterns for 50 adorable amigurumi projects.

This bright and colorful amigurumi pattern book is 128-pages in length. The crochet patterns are clearly written and the instructions are in U.S. Crochet terminology. Helpful images are included throughout and the designs are playful and fun.

The book is written in a very straightforward manner; beginning with How to Use this Book and the Tools & Materials needed for the projects. The Donut Making Kit List is available on page 8 and includes the supplies you will need to complete most of the projects in the book.

Items on the list include fiber fill stuffing, a darning needle, a pair of scissors, stitch markers and optional items like rattle inserts, squeakers and bells that can be inserted inside the donuts.

The crochet hook sizes, yarn colors, embroidery thread colors (if needed) and what size safety eyes you will need for the projects can vary for each Donut Buddy so you will find them with the individual patterns, instead of in the Donut Making Kit.

Most of the patterns use the Basic Donut Pattern as the base and the pattern is on pages 8-11. The Donut Base is crocheted with a 4 mm (G) crochet hook and DK or Worsted Weight Yarn [4]. The finished size of your Crochet Donut Buddy base will depend on the yarn weight you use. The approximate size will be between 4 to 5 inches in width.

I personally love that Rachel has provided three different eye options for her Donut Buddies. Instructions are included for safety eyes, crocheted eyes and embroidered eyes.
