Disclaimer: The yarn used for this project was given to me by King Cole Yarns. If you’d like to try their yarns you can find your local King Cole Yarn Stockist here. Find all my free crochet patterns designed using King Cole Yarn here.

King Cole yarn is available from your local yarn shop, or online at the links in my post below.

The yarn I used for this month’s scarf and hat projects was sent to me by King Cole. For this month’s projects I selected a Chunky Tonal Yarn in varying shades of blue and white. This 100% Premium Acrylic yarn is easy to work with, soft and beautifully dyed. The yarn is available in 10 other shade options.

Notes

Multiple of 4 + 2 (Understanding Stitch Multiples)

When I work into the foundation chain, I prefer working into the back bar (back bump) of the chain. You can work under the back loop only if you prefer.

You may customize the length by working the repeat of R2 as many, or as few, times as you wish.

You can work the entire project using the 6 mm (J) hook. I recommend working R1 and R2 and R120 and R121 tighter, or switching to a slightly smaller hook to maintain the width of the project.

Optional Fringe: Cut 84 strands of yarn, each 15-inches in length. I used my Clover Tassel Maker Tool to do this. Attach 2-strands in each stitch across on each end of the scarf. Need help with the fringe? This post shows you how to attach it.
