The finished hat circumference for each hat pattern is 14-inches. The sizes included for the boots are small (2 inches by 3 inches) and medium (2 inches by 3.5 inches).
A helpful Stitch Guide is included at the beginning of each pattern. The stitch guide includes all of the special stitches used in the pattern and even diagrams for some stitches.
The pattern includes different font colors to indicate which size is being referenced. This is especially helpful for stitch totals in the instructions. You can look quickly and keep track for the size you are crocheting.
The General Instructions including abbreviations, symbols and terms begins on page 44. Special notes have been included about gauge, the use of 0 (zero) in the instructions and how to use markers to keep track of your position when crocheting the patterns.
The following techniques are included:
- Joining with sc
- Joining with dc
- Free loops of a chain
- Working in front of or behind a stitch
- Changing colors
- Weaving thru stitches
The patterns included in Infant Boots & Hats are adorable. I especially love the high-top moccasins and high-top sneakers! If you are looking for Infant Crochet Patterns to make for baby shower gifts, then this book is a great choice for your Crochet Library.
